Good girl, bad girl
After many generations of rugged secret agents and intergalactic gunslingers, finally here comes a real American female superhero - Jaime Sommers, aka Bionic Woman.

Actually, this is not the first time this character has come to life on the TV screen. The first Jaime Sommers was interpreted by Lindsay Wagner between 1976-1978. But that was then. The world has changed, the threats have also changed, so here comes the new female hero, brought to life by Michelle Ryan.
The original Bionic Woman was a professional tennis player. And this is what makes the new series so up-to-date: the 2007 version of Jaime Sommers is a 24 year old single bartender, taking care of her 15 years old little sister Becca (Lucy Hale). Their mother is dead, their father is an alcoholic, so all they have in life is each other. And this fragile relationship is almost destroyed by an almost fatal car accident.
By luck or by choice, the driver of the car is Will (Chris Bowers), a brilliant scientist, specialist in bionic implants. He quickly replaces Jaime’s destroyed parts and thus comes to existance the second bionic woman.
The first bionic woman was Sarah Corvus (Katee Sackhoff), but she was a failed experiment. She had a psychotic episode, she was killed and resurrected, and now she thinks the solution to her problems is to upgrade herself with Jaime’s technology. By the way, did I mention she was insane?
Thus far (3 episodes aired), the series has a depressing, yet exciting atmosphere. The storyline has same unexpected twists and turns, some terrorists, some plots and conspiracies. Altogether, it’s a TV series I like and I hope it will have more than one season.
